OOC DETAILS

Applications and Reserves
Applications are open on a continuous basis at this time. We do not require reserves or hold characters.

Appable Characters
Here’s where it gets wild. All Buffy/Angel characters, past and present, are appable. So are other canons, CRAU, canon AUs, OCs, and certain malleable protagonists.

Characters ages 14 and up are allowed, but players must be at least 18 due to violent themes.

Non-Human Characters
Bring them on! Their appearances are only changed if they're over 7'6", in which case their size is diminished. They appear like normal humans to the average Clevelander.

Activity Check Requirements
This game requires either…
-Five log comments a month.
-Ten network comments a month.

Hiatus
Hiatus can be used but not two months in a row. If this option is overused, the player will be spoken to.

Number of Characters Per Player
Two, but after two months of activity you can app a third.

IC DETAILS

What Happens When You Arrive
You go through a portal and wind up in a cave system where you have to choose two tunnels. You cannot stand still – You will be compelled to choose according to your nature, good or evil. Evil will lead you underground, to a large cave city. Good will lead you to Cleveland, OH. You may or may not stay in these locations. A priest of the First Evil dressed in burlap will greet the evildoers and the slayers will greet those who chose good, leading everyone to their housing.

Arrival Inventory
Your character must bring everything they had on them. No matter how awkward. This can include a small pet, but, really, why?

Communication Devices
Evildoers and good ol’ folk alike will be gifted with smartphones. The only difference being, on the good people’s smartphones there will be a thorough demon encyclopedia listing strengths, weaknesses, and so on. Posts from these devices should be made to the in-game Network.

Money
Considering this is fiction, everyone is afforded an allowance by their hosts, as well: $300 a week. The job market in this game is good, as well, but don’t forget that your main goal is supposed to be preventing or causing an apocalypse.

Where Can Characters Go?
Anywhere in, and under, Cleveland. There is what amounts to an invisible fence that will keep them inside. Some specific points of interest can be found on the Locations Page.

What Are The Cities Like?
Underground, the homes will be adobe with the bare minimum available. You’ll have to sneak into the world outside (Cleveland) for supplies and the like giving you an opportunity to interact with and fight with the good characters.
Cleveland, without getting into too much detail, will be presented in this game as your typical metropolis. It has lanndmarks, of course – The Great Lakes Science Center, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, The Cleveland Clinic, Guardians Stadium, etc. Look it up on Wikipedia if you want to find special activities for your characters. Overwise, there are playgrounds, graveyards, warehouses, clubs, bars etc. The Slayers, funded by what’s left of the Watcher’s Council (Watchers are people who train slayers,) are staying in a Doubletree Hotel.

Weather in CLE
Cold, snowy winters
Early springs with one last snowstorm in March before the real spring arrives
HOT summers
Warm autumns

Transportation
Courtesy of your hosts, both good and evil people will have access to cars and motorcycles. There is public bussing as well.

Medical Needs
You will be taken care of. Upon entering this world you have ID and insurance. Now, if it’s something more like drinking blood, we’ve got you there, too. Evil vamps and creatures can feed on humans and good ones get the bagged stuff.

Pregnancy
Birth Control is remarkably effective in Cleveland. However, if someone has a wild and bizarre pregnancy plot that they think will move the game forward, they are free to submit a fleshed out three paragraph proposal to me.

Can You Change Alignment During The Game?
It happens all the time in the show! Of course you can change alignment! It must be done ICly and believably. You may change alignment twice.

Character Death
Death can be permanent or not. It’s the player’s decision and a matter of plotting.

Hi! So I want to be sure I have this clear: can the good guys be in the game without gaining any powers, or is it a game mechanic that they will always be given powers?

Also, since CRAUs are allowed, does that mean somebody could potentially pop in from a Pokemon RP with a Pokemon in tow?

Awesome.

This would be a cute little Eevee if the CRAU path is taken, so definitely no game-breaking powers. :)

Thank you!
